Command used to change the permissions of all directories and its subdirectories

To change the permission of all files and directoried recursively:

find . -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \;
find . -type f -exec chmod 644 {} \;

or

find . ! -type d -exec chmod 644 {} \;
find . -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \;
